Watch Focus: Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May they proper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces’” (Psalm 122:6-7)

Pray for Israel as they are trying to recover from the terrorist attack today where eight innocent Israelis were killed. We pray comfort for the families and added protection for the Jewish people. We pray for peace to reign for Israelis and Palestinians. Pray for protection for this nation which is so important in the heart of our Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Release angels to stand guard at the borders of Israel and safeguard innocent people. May those who plan terror and destruction against the Jews and against Jerusalem be confused and completely defeated. Declare, “Shalom to you, Jerusalem!”

Psalm 102:13, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come.”

Isaiah 62:6-7, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”

Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Bind Violence

This week, the city of Atlanta and other cities have seen violent protests over the death of Tyre Nichols in Memphis. Bind the spirit of anarchy, murder, and violence instigated by Antifa and others. Spread a prayer blanket over Memphis, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and other major cities of the United States. Decree that the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous. May peace be restored. Pray that the mayors of these cities will have wisdom to combat the forces that have allowed violence to rise. Pray for the protection of law enforcement. Pray for the vulnerable neighborhoods and loose God’s angelic host to protect the innocents.

Jeremiah 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

Psalm 125, “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity. Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity.”

Deuteronomy 20:4, “for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

Isaiah 35:10, “And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
