Watch Focus: Build an Altar of Prayer

Genesis 12:7-8, “Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your descendants I will give this land.’ And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.”

We call the church to build an altar of prayer on behalf of our nation and the nations. The Lord’s house is the house of prayer. May every believer be awakened to prayer. Harmonize with the Lord and come into total agreement with His purposes. Fill all the heavenly places with prayer, praise, and worship. Bind principalities, powers, and wickedness in high places where demonic strongholds are attempting to lay claim over our states and cities. Put a boundary marker over the territories in our land. Refute and rebuke false gods and idols. Thank the Lord for answers to prayer. Press in for hopeful signs of deliverance and restoration for our economy.

Bind the war machine over Israel wrought upon by the global elites. Pray for God’s protection, peace, and blessing for Jerusalem, Israel, and our nation. May God’s warring angels be released to defend every corner of Israel as well as her citizens at home and abroad. Cry out that God will pour out His Spirit in the Middle East and the neighboring countries around Israel. Come, Holy Spirit! May all nations experience a powerful visitation and awakening.

Isaiah 19:19-20, “In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them.”

Isaiah 56:7, “Even them I will bring to My Holy Mountain, and make them joyful in My House of Prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My House shall be called a House of Prayer for all nations.”

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”

Ephesians 6:12, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Jeremiah 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

Psalm 122:6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May they prosper who love you.'"
